Apologies if this has been asked and answered, I am not finding quite what I am looking for.
We are looking to upgrade to v13 and eventually do the migration to the Linux Appliance. The big question is, when we do the migration, will this require new backup chains or will the existing backups also be migrated over as well?
Thanks!

Hello, Allen,
The official Windows-to-VSA migration is currently handled through the https://go.veeam.com/vsa-conversion on a queue basis with professional assistance.
Please refer to the following posts on the forum:

I would also recommend considering a suggestion from my colleague Fabian Small installation

Re: Migration to Linux Appliance
Thanks for the response and links, I appreciate them!
I am not finding an answer to what I am looking for in the provided links (or I am just missing it). Some of our clients have limited storage, so starting a new backup chain may not be possible. I am needing to know if the migration will cause a new chain to be started or if it will continue working with the current backup chains?
Thanks!

Re: Migration to Linux Appliance
Hello, Allen,
If it will be cleanly migrated, It should continue the existing chains.
