Feature request: Set NTP on Proxmox VE Worker

Post by AntonJH »

Hello,

In the Veeam B&R 13 user guide for the Proxmox integration, https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbr/u ... tml?ver=13, the required ports documentation does not mention that workers require UDP port 123 outbound to the internet for NTP time synchronization. Furthermore, the documentation does not specify which default NTP servers are used.

I would like to request the ability to specify custom NTP server(s) during the worker creation process in Veeam. Most organizations utilize internal NTP sources and would prefer to point workers to those rather than allowing outbound internet traffic. Additionally, please update the documentation to include the default NTP destinations so that users can accurately configure their firewall rules.

Hello, Anton,

Let me investigate that internally and I will return with the answer.

Hello, Anton,

Thank you very much for pointing that out - we will update User's Guide.
As for the custom NTP servers for PVE workers, we are now considering this feature internally for future implementation.
