ProxMox replication ONLY works with ZFS storage. Very bad! CTRL RAID must be set to HBA mode, so it's as if it didn't even exist.
I use Disks in hardware RAID groups are seen as directories (/dev/sda, /dev/sdb, etc.), formatted in ext4 and lvm-local and lvm.

Re: unable to create proxmox replication job?
Currently LVM on DAS for standalone PVE Hosts, Ceph for 3-node clusters, and ZFS for two node native PVE replica.

Re: unable to create proxmox replication job?
Replication wise, NFS based storage here. I would recommend it to work with most common storage options proxmox doesn't do replication for to start with, so NFS, iSCSI, iSCSI over TCP,
+1 for Instant VM Recovery for Proxmox v9 and also VM Replication, doesn't have to be CDP style replication out the gates, though would be nice, being able to do say a 15minute replication schedule could go a long way for the small-medium organisations. Appears Nakivo and others have already got these options.
Where's the timeline/eta at for Instant VM Recovery and Replication. Really hope there is traction around this at Veeam.
