Hello Team,

Need help to understand the requirements of this KB - https://www.veeam.com/kb4683

The KB lists -- to back up relationships between protected resources and management groups

But what is this relationships? If few examples can be provided for this relationships to what is in backup scope (users, groups, administrative units, Apps, Intune, etc), it will be easier to understand and also easy to be able to explain this requirement to our clients.

The questions that I cannot answer - what is missing from restore if this access/permission is not provided

Hello Sumeet,

Azure Management Groups are hierarchical containers that enable efficient, centralized governance, compliance, and access control across multiple Azure subscriptions.

In this case, the protected resources, for example, could be Entra ID users that we back up. By default we don't backup the relationships of the users to MG, but this can be turned on as described in the KB article.
