VSA disk failure alerts

If VSA is installed on bare metal does it have a way to alert on disk failure?
How about a hardened repository installed from VIA on bare metal?
Something like monitoring SMART data from, e.g. smartctl

Or are hardware alerts expected to come from out-of-band management, e.g. Dell iDRAC?

Yes, hardware events and the exporting of monitoring metrics are planned for the upcoming version.
I can't provide an exact ETA, though.
