I don't even read the subject!!! I crawl into the log folder and take a look at the colors that appear. If I see green I skip fast through all the emails, and I stop only if I see a Yellow or Red. Colors in html log emails are soooo useful!!!Gostev wrote:That's a wasted subject! I don't even open most backup notifications I get, don't need to because all I really care is already included in the subject.

Re: Enterprise Manager daily email: incorrect subject info
I am still having issues with the body of the e-mail. For me it seems that it is reporting on jobs that came from old Backup & Replication servers that i have decommissioned. Is there any way to clear the data for the summary of all jobs? If not that would be a nice feature to add.
also another feature request would be to allow us to customize the body, just like we can customize the subject line.

Re: Enterprise Manager daily email: incorrect subject info
Hi Brian,
I believe this data should age out according to the retention policy settings, but if you want to remove some of the sessions manually, here is an existing topic with the instructions: removing job statistics
As regards the email body feature request, could you please elaborate it a bit further? How would you like to modify our existing variant?
Thanks!

Job Summary email - latest session vs last 24 hours?
[merged]
Can someone explain what in Enterprise manager under notification and job summary
What does latest/last session mean.
I just noticed my email i get has two different values set.
Subject is Last 24 hours: 0 Errors, 3 Warnings, 18 Successes
(so i have %1 , %2, % 3 set in my subject part.)
But the body text is
Summary of last sessions for all jobs:
1 Errors, 3 Warnings, 33 Successes
Thanks.

Re: Enterprise Manager daily email: incorrect subject info
Exactly what it says:
- last 24 hrs refers to what happened in the last 24 hours prior to email
- the summary shows the last result of every jobs, even those scheduled to be run only once a week (and so they would not appear in the 24h summary)
I always found ti useful also because of tht retries attempts: even if in the last 24h you got errors for jobs, if at the end every backup jobs is in the success or warning state, it means the retries were able to complete the job previously.
Luca.
