I would like to submit a feature request for the Veeam Enterprise Plug in for Oracle RMAN.
Currently, the command OracleRMANConfigTool --get-backup-for-restore
can AFAIK only be used in an interactive mode. This makes it difficult to integrate restore workflows into scripted or automated processes.
Requested enhancement:
Please provide a fully non interactive, scriptable option for --get-backup-for-restore, for example by:
supporting well documented command line parameters, or
allowing input via a structured file such as XML or JSON.
This would enable automated restore workflows such as test restores, system refreshes, and integration into orchestration or compliance driven processes, without manual input.

Re: Lacking automation for "OracleRMANConfigTool --get-backup-for-restore"
Hello,
This command simply returns the IDs of the backups you have access to after the authentication data is set. This is a one-time operation, you only need to get the ID once and then use it as an argument in the SEND command in the RMAN script.
Thanks!
