Upgrade from 12.3.2.4165 to 12.3.2.4465

Post by ChuckS42 »

Trying to run an update from 12.3.2.4165 to 12.3.2.4465 and it says, "Another version of the product is already installed". Saw a thing that suggested I uninstall the Veeam Installer Service; did that, nothing changed. What am I missing?

Hi ChuckS42,

Just to confirm, you're using the patch.exe to update, correct?

If that doesn't go, please open a Support Case; we cannot troubleshoot technical issues over the forums as noted when creating a topic, and topics about technical issues without a support case will be deleted as per the forum rules.

If it's not about using wrong patch method, this error in particular will require review by Veeam Support, and I would strongly advise against following instructions suggesting uninstalling items until Support has reviewed the environment.

Please share your case number once created, thanks!

Same problem here. Install is grayed out and "Another version of the product is already installed"

Hi ancan,

Sorry to hear about the challenges, but as noted in my previous post, please confirm how you tried the update and if you used the patch ISO / EXE. If all looks normal for the updater, please proceed with a Support Case, as we cannot troubleshoot over the forums and posts about technical issues without a case number will be deleted.

I have the same problem when I click on "Setup.exe" in the .iso file; however, the update from ....\Updates\VeeamBackup&Replication_12.3.2.4465_patch_20260307.exe has worked fine. What it actually does is install a patch, so it finally updated correctly.

Hi pvz86h, welcome to the forums.

Thank you for sharing your solution, and indeed you took a round-about way of getting at the patch.

For future readers, please see my first post and follow the first link to find the patch EXE / ISO installers.
