Hello -
With existing VMware backups, you have a couple options:
- Edit the job and change the repository and click OK; a prompt pops up asking if you want to move want move your backups to the new repository and you can say yes
- Go to the Backups -> Disk, right click your job and click "Move" - and pick a new repo
With Proxmox, neither of these works; you can change the job destination, but it doesn't move your backups or backup chain, and if you right click the backup on disk, move is greyed out; you can only "copy" (which does not tie back to the original job if you change the job).
After a bit of research, I did come across this: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbr/u ... tml?ver=13
And specifically: "You cannot move backups created by Veeam Plug-Ins for Enterprise Applications, Veeam Cloud Plug-Ins (Veeam Backup for AWS, Veeam Backup for Google Cloud*, Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure), Veeam Plug-In for Nutanix AHV, Veeam Plug-In for oVirt KVM*, Veeam Plug-In for Proxmox VE and Veeam Kasten."
Is there any change this is going to be added? We don't "move" repositories often, but it's still handy to have.
Thanks!
