Hello,
I was backing up File Shares to a DataDomain NFS repository,
but I accidentally deleted the data using the correct procedure.
We are trying to have a data recovery vendor recover data from a DataDomain,
but the DataDomain directory hierarchy may be lost,
and the files may be recovered in a flat hierarchy.
The file extension may not be restored either.
I have a backup of the VBR configuration file.
I would like to use the salvaged files and the VBR configuration file backup
to recover the backup data and restore the files.
Is this possible?
VBR Version : 12.3 use.
I would like to ask for instructions on how to recover.

Re: NAS backup Repository File tree
Hi idcsan,
It's a little unclear on the full situation, but a few points:
1. The Veeam Configuration Backup only protects information about the Backup server configuration itself, not data on repositories, so it's unlikely that this will help
2. The situation is a bit unclear from your post on what specifically got deleted
Please open a Support Case and allow Veeam Support to review the situation; I must prepare you that if the Unstructured Data Backup stored on the NFS share was in fact deleted, I'm not sure that there will be much we can do to assist, but it's best to review the situation with Veeam Support to clarify what can be done.
Please share your case number once created, thanks!
