Hello,
I encountered an issue with the backup storage appliance, so I had to shutdown the Veeam server to ensure there were no active jobs during the intervention on the storage appliance.
Before shutting down the server, a weekly GFS job (running since Sunday) and a monthly GFS job (running since Monday) were still in progress. Both jobs failed after the shutdown, i didn't stopped the jobs manually.
After completing the intervention and restarting the Veeam backup server, I noticed that the monthly GFS job resumed automatically and continued copying backups from the storage appliance to tape. but not the Weekly GFS job.
The next scheduled run is as follows:
Weekly GFS job: 12/04/2026 at 06:00 AM
Monthly GFS job: 07/04/2026 at 02:00 PM
Is there a way to re-run the weekly GFS job to continue the backup copy process ?

Re: Re-run Weekly GFS Job
Hello! Are these backup or backup copy jobs? Additionally are these part of the same job, or are they two different jobs?
I read through your situation and it sounds like it might be two separate Copy Jobs and using different processing methods but I need clarification.

Re: Re-run Weekly GFS Job
Hello,
We have two separate GFS tape jobs, each using a dedicated GFS tape pool.
I’m not sure if there is a way to force the weekly GFS tape job to resume the backup to tape ?

- A weekly GFS tape job runs every Sunday
A monthly GFS tape job runs on the first Monday of each month
I’m not sure if there is a way to force the weekly GFS tape job to resume the backup to tape ?

Re: Re-run Weekly GFS Job
Hi mascac,
On the next run the Tape GFS job will try to back-fill any GFS periods missed while the server was offline.
If you prefer not to wait and to be "extra sure", you can force Tape GFS jobs to do a Manual Active Full to the desired GFS period. (right-click the GFS Tape Job to get this option)
