Reports in 12 are different then in 13 under veeamone.
Prior i could run a report for job history and have it just show me what jobs failed and on what dates.
Now if i run the same report i get a 30 page list of nonsense showing every vm in each job failing. I think in prior versions you could collapse and expand the items in the report such that you didnt have to see all the vms in every job that failed.
All im looking for is a simple report i can run that shows me all the failed jobs for 6 months. That's it.
It also seems it counts a failure despite the retries where it is successful showing you a bunch of false positives for the backup. Say on 2/3/2026 you had a job that ran with 50 vms in it. 3 failed on the first or second try but completed fine on the retry. I don't want that in the report since it wasn't a failure. Is there a way to do this in 13? Maybe am missing something simple here.

Re: Reports in 13 changed?
hmm...well after staring at this for hours i dont get it.
VEM seems to send a summary email every day showing failures. ITs not smart enough to send the email after all backup retry attempts have been attempted so any failure throws a failure on that report that is emailed nightly. Thats a false report of failed backups.
There is no where in veeamONE that i can see to get a simple list of backup jobs and dates of failed back ups that exists which i would think to be a very simple thing to find or generate.
Strangely veeam does send an email on final state of a backup if a job fails after all retry attempts which seems like the only logical thing that makes sense. This is sent to a ticketing system to generate a ticket that we typically work to correct whatever the issue is.
Sadly there is no spot in veeam or veeamONE that shows you a report of final state backups over a period of time. We like to do a true up for audit purposes periodically to make sure the number of failures we see in veeam over time match the number of tickets we get over time and ultimately show that for every backup failure we had, we 1. got a ticket, 2. worked the ticket to resolution. Currently that audit is impossible in 13 since it doesnt seem possible to get a list of failed backups for a set period of time. You cant seem to do this from VeeamONE cleanly, VBR or VEM that i can see.
The job history report looks all different that it used to and contains all the noise of every single failed job regardless of retries as stated above. This did not used to be the case. IT also looks much different in its formatting than it used to.
The "latest job status" report is pointless. NO matter how far back you go, it still seems to only show you the status of the backup from last night (or the last time it ran).

Re: Reports in 13 changed?
Hello jcofin13,

Protected VMs and Workload Protection History These are workload-based reports, but using the new filters in version 13 you can do almost everything.
To get this, uncheck the sections you don't need in the sections drop-down and remove grouping in the Group by menu.a simple report i can run that shows me all the failed jobs for 6 months. That's it.

I am not sure and found no records that the logic was changed compared to v12, but I'll check it more precisely with QA.It also seems it counts a failure despite the retries where it is successful showing you a bunch of false positives for the backup.
The same report, but remove the unnecessary columns.a simple list of backup jobs and dates of failed back ups that exists

Please take a look ata report of final state backups over a period of time. Re: Reports in 13 changed?
hmm...thanks. I think that did it. Thats not very intuitive. I was looking under filters and under report actions-->report parameters.
