HPE VME - restore of vm creates two CDROM devices

Post by JaySt »

Today i tried a restore of a ubuntu vm, backed up from a 8.1.1 VME cluster.
the restored VM shows two CDROM devices. on on SATA 0:0 and one on SATA 0:1

Source VM had only one.
anyone seen this?

Hey, I'll bring it up with the QA team. It might be worth opening a low priority support case so we can collect logs to determine if it's something from the source VM (virtio drivers attached at some point or something).

ok. i'll have a look at that virtio driver being mounted or not on the source during backup.

i checked. no virtio drivers were attached during backup. no ISO attached at all.
i'll see if i can find some time to create a case. Curious to know if QA saw something similar.
