Best practice AAIP or NGT

Post by matteu »

Hello,

I would like to know if this setup is optimized or not ?

Use Nutanix guest tools for all VM backuped (Windows + Linux with no pre/post script) as baseline.
I would like to be sure I will not have any "interruption" / ping lost on all the VMs in this scenario during Veeam snapshot.
For VM with SQL / Exchange / AD / ... (application aware with Veeam) check application guest aware processing and use account with correct permission.

@matteu no VM stun issues that I've ever heard of with Nutanix as far as snapshot create/delete is concerned. Yes sounds like a reasonable approach for consistent snapshots/backups across your estate. Note that for Veeam app-aware enabled jobs the NGT quiescence settings are ignored and we only leverage Veeam quiescence (no double-quiesce)
