Another +1
We'd like to run mid-day incremental backups on our Proxmox VE servers, but the GUI scheduler doesn't allow scheduling backups multiple times per day (eg. 7pm & 12n).
Being able to fire-off the incremental backup job via a Powershell scheduled task would be a nice work-around.

Re: Feature Request - Support for Proxmox VE with Veeam Powershell
Hi Andrew,
You can do that with a periodic schedule.
With a 12-hour interval, the backup would run at 12:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
That’s not exactly the required 7:00 PM, but it still gives you two backups per day.
Best,
Fabian

Re: Proxmox - Schedule twice a day, 7pm and 12pm
Hi Andrew,
I split your request from the PowerShell topic.
We plan to introduce a "Backup Window" for periodic Proxmox job schedules in our summer release.
With this, it may be possible to configure a periodic 12-hour job that runs at 12:00 PM and 7:00 PM.
Best,
Fabian

Re: Proxmox - Schedule twice a day, 7pm and 12pm
Thanks Fabian,
Unfortunately, setting the 12-hour interval doesn't really work because we can't select when it triggers. I don't want ALL of our VMs backing up at exactly midnight & noon due to network congestion. It might work for incrementals, but that occasional full backup running on 20 VMs concurrently would cause problems. Setting the Proxmox agent to only allow 2 or 4 processes at a time might help alleviate the congestion but it's not something I want to test in my production environment (and my test environment doesn't have enough VMs & data to fully test the idea).
Would much rather be able to stagger them so Server A runs at midnight & noon, Server B runs at 1am & 1pm, Server C runs at 2am & 2pm, etc.
Still wouldn't allow for the scheduled noon/7pm type setting I'd prefer, but it would be a decent work-around.

Re: Proxmox - Schedule twice a day, 7pm and 12pm
Hi Andrew,
If the Backup Window for periodic Proxmox job schedules works similarly to vSphere jobs, your use case should be achievable by using different backup jobs with each one having a different "backup window".
Let’s revisit this once we have more information.
Best,
Fabian
