[FEATURE REQUEST] - Restore to Azure VM using Trusted Launch

Post by CarlosEsteves »

Hello,

Is there any roadmap to allow restore of VM in Azure using trusted launch feature ?

https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbr/u ... nch&ver=13

In the documentation we see "Veeam Backup & Replication supports the creation of Microsoft Azure VMs with the Standard security type. The Trusted launch security type is not supported."

Thanks

Hi Carlos,

I believe there is a potential workaround for this available via our support. Could you open a case so we can dig into it?

Hello,

The workaround I´m using now is by forcing register of standard using below commands.

az feature register --namespace Microsoft.Compute --name UseStandardSecurityType --subscription 5ff7fc9a-6674-493a-ad67-85fd865ffd06

az provider register --namespace Microsoft.Compute --subscription 5ff7fc9a-6674-493a-ad67-85fd865ffd06

But if Azure is forcing to use Enhanced, Veeam needs to find solution to improve the software to do not use workaround.

Thanks
