Enhancement

Post by Rainman »

Please change the restore "wizard" to make the selection of the mount server more obvious. I went to restore a file, and it was mounted across the WAN. Alarms went off, and took a while to figure out what happened.

I would attach a picture to illustrate how difficult it is to realize what is happening when selecting which backup checkpoint to restore.

For Veeam, please see case 08077953

Hi Rainman,

The default Mount Server used for File-Level Restore is configured in the repository server properties (see Veeam Help Center: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbr/u ... tml?ver=13).
I recommend setting the mount server to a managed server in the same datacenter as the repository, so you don’t end up mounting backups over the WAN during restores.

Best,
Fabian
