Billing Report for M365 backups

Post by mikaeln »

Hi,

Right now we have several ways to collect data for billing but we would like a single source of all billing data and that would ideally be Veeam One as it should integrate well with all Veeam products.
When can we expect Veeam One to be able to generate billing reports for M365?

Best regards,
Mikael

Hello Mikael,
Can you please share with us more or less how you are envisioning the Backup Billing for Microsoft 365? Would you like to see it at organization level, or per object like every Mailbox size, every SharePoint site, etc?

At the moment, VB365 it is not exposing the backup size per object, so we cannot report on it.

I recently crafted an script, but that is not even historical, meaning that you can have these details on an historical basis. I have received some feedback that in large environments, the script itself it is taking hours. We can totally do this per Organization as there is an API that gives us this..

I do not foresee backup size of VB365 coming anytime soon, not at least until the product itself delivers a reliable, fast way, of collecting this information.

Let us know how you are doing this today.

Hi Jorge,

something similar to what we get for VBR, a single Report that we can include all the customers jobs and get the total data used.
If we can get it per organization that is even easier as new jobs will automatically get included but in most cases all jobs are already created (a single for all, or three separate for Mail/Onedrive/Teams+Sharepoint).

I don't believe there is a need for reporting per object (it has not come up as a request from any customer as far as I know).

Best regards,
Mikael
