VCC with Appliance

Post by dannychrismas » 1 person likes this post

Is it currently supported or will it be supported to use the appliance as our VCC infrastructure in the near future?

Our current server for VCC is almost end of life so we're going to migrate over the next few months and would prefer to not use Windows for it if possible

Hi Danny,

The Cloud Connect backup server cannot run on the Veeam Software Appliance yet.
We also do not have an ETA yet for when Veeam Cloud Connect might be supported on the appliance. I can only confirm that it will not be included in our summer release (v13.1).

What you can do today is use our Veeam Infrastructure Appliance as Cloud Connect gateways.
Your tenants can also use the appliance as a backup server while connecting to your Windows-based Cloud Connect server on v13.0.1 or later.

Best,
Fabian

Thanks for confirming Fabian! We can do the gateways as appliances in the meantime :)

I'm a service provider but my account isn't able to be added to that category any more as i use my personal email instead of work for the forums and can't add multiple email addresses
