WAN accelerator

Post by swarnock@us.tuv.com »

Hello Everyone,

First time posting with a dumb question about the WAN accelerator feature. I am trying the feature out on two Veeam Infrastructure Appliances. One appliance is a virtual proxy located on a source ESX host and the second is a virtual proxy located on the destination site. The destination site has a second physical system running Ubuntu as a hardened repository. What is the methodology to verify if the WAN accelerator is processing backup job traffic? In addition I did not see anything in the help documents about setting up a WAN accelerator specifically for a backup job, is this supposed to auto detect the feature?

Thank you for any insight,
Sean

Hi,

WAN accelerator work only for Backup Copy and Replication jobs.
They are not utilized for Backup Jobs.

Thanks!
