Will Veeam 12 support vSphere 9.1 ?

Post by pmichelli »

Good morning

Will V12 support the newly released vSphere 9.1 (ESXi / vCenter) as part of the VVF/VCF bundles or will this be only available in V13?

Thanks

I am not from Veeam, but since V12 is officially "End of Fix" and will only get security updates until EOL, I would assume that only V13 will get support for new vSphere versions.

Hi pmichelli,

v12 is already in the “End of Fix” stage, which means it won’t receive new functionality or additional OS/version support.

We tested the release in our labs and had to change code to make v9.1 work with Veeam Backup & Replication. Therefore, support is expected with Veeam Backup & Replication v13.1, and — with some luck — also in v13.0.2. Since v12 is in “End of Fix", these code changes won’t be back ported to the latest v12 build.

Please also keep in mind that v12 will be end of support in February 2027:

Thank you, Fabian.
V13 is on the ever growing to-do list. Looks like I need to get that done sooner than later.
