Infinibox Snap Backups

We have been informed by infinidat that veeam should be able to back up the existing snapshots on the infinibox, when discussing this with veeam we've been told this is not possible. Has anyone been able to back up new or existing infinibox snaps using veeam before? we keep getting told different things by the different vendors.

Hi Blake, what is meant by 'backing up the existing snapshots on the infinibox' here? Thanks to USAPI integration, Veeam B&R is able to utilize storage snapshots as a source for backup and also perform snapshot orchestration and restores from storage snapshots residing on the storage array. Is this what you'd like to see?

Hi Foggy,

We worked with one of your system engineers and figured out that the only way to use the snapshots with infinidat is if you did not use the pre installed backups agents. You are required to install via the individual computers protection groups type and when doing so you can configure it for this type of integration. you do need the plugin installed on your console server from https://www.veeam.com/sys496 as well.
