Failed to login by SOAP

Post by rodmart »

Hi, I’m evaluating Veeam Backup ans FastSCP 3.1, and I’m getting this error when I try to restore a previous backed up Virtual Machine:

Failed to restore Item””
Failed to connect to “ESXi3.5 Server” by SOAP25Int. The request failed with HTTP status 503: Service Unavailable. Port 443..

These were my actions:

1.Backed up my VM from Virtual Center 2.5.0 Build 119598 VMWare ESX Server 3.5.0 Build 64607…The job finished well, but with a warning (I don’t know how to interpret it)
2. Restore the same VM to a VMWare ESX Server 3i 3.5.0 Build 153875. The restoration begins and after 5 minutes the error is shown. (I don’t know why, days ago the same works fine with other VMs)
3.I have the Veeam Backup console installed in my PC Windows XP Pro SP2.

In addition, the eval license is going to expire in 3 days. Just in case.

Please I need help.
Thanks in advance.

Hello, from the error it sounds like there is an issue with ESXi host. HTTP web service processing API requests is down. ESX host reboot should help.

Thanks,
I already do this, but it doesn't work with my both esxi servers.
I can't testing in our Virtual Center because I don't have enough espace, and it is our production environment.
Any other sugestions?

Unfortunately ESXi does not provide other troubleshooting options - unlike "fat" ESX, it does not have service console that you can logon to start/restart system services...
