Replica to "local" seen datastore linked to original VMDK ?

Hi everyone,

a (maybe stupid) question about replication ...
I am doing replication jobs from a SAN based datastore to a NFS based datastore.
All is connected to only one server.

The replication runs fine, but the seed seems to be linked DIRECTLY to the original VMDK ??
So basically the replica vmdk is only a few KB in size. If i delete the original VM (which would happen if i loose the datastore ...) then the replica also does not work anymore??
This is not what i want! How can i get around this?

Hi Joerg, sorry but I don't understand what you are saying here. A screenshot of datastore, and the dump of replica job settings (from the last step of the wizard) may help. Thanks!
