Adding VM Notes to BizView

Post by Orys »

how can i display the vm notes in the category??
it is a stock value and not a custom value, what would the expression be to retrieve the data?

Hi Ory,

VM notes are not collected, so there is no way to display this information in Veeam ONE Business View.

Thanks!

would there be any other way to display such information or only to duplicate the notes in a custom field and then query it??
is there nothing that can be modified to fetch such data?

Hmm...I'm afraid the only way to do that would be to duplicate this data in the custom attribute field, however if you could export this data to a CSV file, then you would be able to import it back to Veeam ONE Business View and use this information to categorize your VI objects.

We've got a whitepaper that contains a step-by-step guide on this procedure, please take a look:
Sharing Categorization Data with CMDBs and 3rd Party Applications
