Solved: import vbk and vbm files after backup got corrupted

Post by divnull »

Hi

Veeam B&R 6.1 with vSphere5.0U1

We had a crash during Veeam backup which resulted in a corrupted backup archive.
We usually copy our veeam backup files weekly to an external disk. Now I'd like to import these files as a new base for reverse-incremental backups (existing job).

What I tried so far:
* Backup > Disk > removed corrupted backup from backups
* renamed folder on repository
* copied vbk, vrb and vbm from external disk to repository (original folder)
* rescanned repository

Now I can see my Backup-Archive in "Backups > Imported". When I start the corresponding job, it does not resume with an increment (reverse). Instead it does a full backup in a new folder.

Is there a standard procedure to import backups and use that tree as a base for further incements?

thanks in advance
