What is "Rollback"? Restore SQL tables questions.

Post by hollow »

Hello all,

I have no support case ID. I am looking into more information on the following:

Image
1. When trying to restore from a restore point, if there are multiple points, the previous points is labelled as "Rollback". What does "Rollback" means?

Image
2. When testing out SQL UAIR: Restoring SQL tables using SQL U-AIR, on the left column, there is this "dbo.VeeamUAT". This is not there before I delete the tables.

A steps on what I have perform for more information:
a. Create a database "VeeamUAT"
b. Create a table inside "VeeamUAT"
c. Backup the VM.
d. Delete the table from "VeeamUAT"
e. Restore using SQL UAIR.
f. Tables successfully restored
g. "dbo.VeeamUAT" appears on the left hand column. (Why is this so? I do not have any dbo.VeeamUAT before.)

3. Instant VM recovery: How does this work? I am able to understand "Enitre VM registration", "VM hard disks", etc ... but not Instant recovery.

Anyone care to shed some light please?
Appreciated lots.

Thank you.

1. a rollback is a restore point coming out of an incremental backup, a full, well, from a full backup...
