esxi online exchange backup

Hi everybody,

I'm sorry for the question but some thing of veeam backup are not clear yet....so....please help me...

does veeam backup perform a full consistent online backup (without poweroff) of a virtual machine runnings exchange 200x on vmware esxi?

if yes, do I need install a windows agent to do it?

Hello, yes Veeam Backup provides full consistent online backup (without poweroff) of a virtual machine runnings exchange 2003 or later on VMware ESX(i). There is no need to install any agents on your VM for this. We implement proprietary Microsoft VSS integration to achieve transactionally consistent back of running Exchange server.
