monitor veeam backups

I was just wondering if there is a way to use veeam monitor in conjunction with veeam backup and replication. Basically we would like to see the most recent status of backup jobs reported in veeam monitor for our esx servers. Currently we just have veeam b&r send us an email with the status, but if their is a way to integrate the two, that would be very helpful.

Could you please tell me how exactly would you like to track VM backup status in Veeam Monitor? Do you want to see how many VMs have already been backed up and what is the latest backup status? Should it be displayed on the VM itself or on the parent object only? What about a new dedicated tab for that?

I'm wide open to any suggestions!

I would like to hear what others say, but for us, i would love a tab that had some sort of matrix which listed each esx server, and a last successful backup date for each vm.
I'm sure others can chime in with much more sophisticated ways to report this

Looking forward to having something in the future. These two products are absolutely essential to support vmware. I wouldn't use anything else

Good idea, but would that help if you could create and schedule a weekly report that would list you all VMs being protected?

Since Monitor is already capable to read custom attributes data where Veeam B&R stores latest VM backup state (optionally), it wouldn't be hard to implement such a report. But If you need more functionality, then I believe it will make more sense to embed this feature into B&R itself. What do you think?

any report would be helpful. We would simply look out for vms that didnt have successfull backup attributes that were dated within a day or so. We could then just remote into the veeam servers to find out what is going wrong with the backups,if these attrbutes werent there

Ok, great. I have just verified that this feature is already present in our Veeam B&R feature tracking system. As regards Veeam ONE report, we'll see what can be done here. Thank you for your feedback!

A feauture like this would we welcome.
But what i Would like to see is that you can hook up any Veeam Procduct in on webbased console.
So a manger can look at the Veeam "master" dashboard, and is able to see all results of backups, reports, monitoring events ect. ect.

Mainly to be able to manage / see alerts for the entire virtual infrastructure including backup status etc from a single console (VEEAMONE Monitor)
