is veeam backup&replication supporting Quantum Superloader Tape drive with 8 slots? Manufactoring Number:EC-LLDAE-YF ??

Tom, Veeam B&R does not natively support backup to tape currently (meaning that you need a third-party tool to offload Veeam backups to tape). Tape support will be added in the next major release.

so there are 2 new questions: what kind of third party tools do you mean? Can you post a link? when will be the next major release? And, if i buy Veeam Essentials Bundle for VMware tomorrow, will i get an free update or do i have to pay for an upgrade?

Regarding the next version, there is no fixed date for it currently. And all customers with active maintenance agreement are eligible to upgrade to the next version free of change.
