Job Progress Window: question

Post by flavor4real »

Hello,
The job processing window of each backup job shows a Summary, a Data, and a Status section. Under the Summary section, correct me if I'm wrong but am I right when I say that the the processing rate addresses the backup rate based on the backup servers settings, depending on the backup servers processors and RAM setting. In addition, my section shows bottleneck: Proxy. So, I assume that my proxy is the hold up (processing rate: 25MB/s). correct?

Thanks

Processing rate is the average speed of processing of all VMs in the job + overhead (processed data divided by the time the job took to finish).

Bottleneck proxy stands for the under-powered backup proxy server. You can try to disable compression in the job settings or set it to a lower level, this would take some load off the proxy server CPU (at the cost of larger backup files, though), and see whether it helps.
