VMware moving away from VCB

Post by johnny@datafant.se »

Hello,

I don´t know if this topic has been discussed already.

VMware will discontinue VCB when all vendors of backup software have adapted to the new API that VMware has made available, as a replacement in vSpere 4. What does the timeframe look like concerning VB ?

Hi Johnny, yes this has been discussed before:

Based on what we know, Veeam Backup 4.0 will most likely be the first solution on the market supporting these new APIs.
