Patch version number confusion in email report?
I downloaded the new version 6.5 patch. The information KB article says I must have version 6.5.0.109 to apply the patch. I have version 6.5.0.106. An earlier forum post said there was no need to upgrade again to the newer ..109 version, because the newer version only solved some install issues. What is the correct procedure?
I went ahead and ran the patch on top of my ..106 installation (in my Lab), and it seems to work except the result email says it's still "Veeam Backup & Replication 6.5.0.106" (in the mail footer).
What should I do? Reinstall the whole thing for the Lab? (Holding off doing anything for my production network!)

Re: Patch version number confusion?
It was confirmed that Patch1 installs and works on both of VB&R versions, either on 106 or 109, without any issues. So, there is no need in reinstalling the whole thing from the scratch.
Hope this helps.
Thanks.

Re: Patch version number confusion?
Thank you, Vladimir.
What about the (old) version number in emails (job results)? Is it only me, or an oversight by the patch creators?

Yep, you’re completely right, there is nothing to worry about, since it isn't your particular issue.
If you still a little bit concerned, you can go to “Help” menu, click “About” and see for sure what version of VB&R is being used.
Hope this helps.
Thanks.

[MERGED] B&R e-mails report wrong version
Really minor glitch, I just noticed that e-mails sent by VB&R v6.5.0.128 in my demo lab still report "Veeam Backup & Replication 6.5.0.109" in their footer.

[MERGED]: Bug report: Reporting shows
Hi I want to report a minor bug:
I noticed that report (I get by email notification) displays older version "6.5.0.109" than the version I have installed "6.5.0.128". (If I go Help -> About it says "6.5.0.128")

Re: Patch version number confusion in email report?
Patch 3 doesn't resolve this issue, how can track which customers I've updated and which not?
I've receiving backup emails from more than 30 Veeam Backup servers

Also, please add at the end of Veeam email the build number of vCenter server, so I can track which customers are updated and which not

Re: Patch version number confusion in email report?
Thanks all for the feedback; highly-appreciated.
The said behavior will be fixed in VB&R version 7 that is scheduled to come out later this year.
Thanks again.
