Using a Domain Controller as repository

Post by rickyxt »

Hello

I would like to configure an additional Veeam job to send our backups to a remote office. Currently at the remote office there is a very underutilized physical Windows 2008 R2 domain controller. Can anyone see any issues adding this machine as a repository in B&R console and then configuring a remote backup up job to this location. B&R main server (VM) and Proxy server (VM) will be based in the main office.

Thanks,

Hi Richard,

I've seen a couple of cases where our existing customers were installing Veeam B&R on a DC VM and were using it with no issues, so I believe you should also be fine with this scenario.

Thanks!
