Post by sushil »

Dear Expert,

I am running my SCOM 2012 infra with Nwork MP 5.6

I observe for the most of Datastore - DataStore Cluster Name is not discovering its display as N/A.

DATASTORE properties of CLB_DATASTORE01_VM

Display Name : CLB_DATASTORE01_VM
Full Path Name : CLB_DATASTORE01_VM
entityId ds :///vmfs/volumes/4f86bf78-e4a8c748-5281-9c8e99fa1bb8/
mountPoint : /vmfs/volumes/CLB_DATASTORE01_VM
diskSize GB : 400
Datastore Cluster Name: N/A
fsType: vmfs5

I am very new to this MP, any help or suggetion would be appriciated.

Hello,

Do you have a datastore cluster in your virtual infrastructure? Any special symbols in it? It would help if you can send me your topology.xml from Collector Logs folder. You can use direct message for this. Also could you please tell us your vCenter version?

Thanks.

Hi,

Could you please provide more details about these datastores which are part of SAN? Do you use them in same vCenter 5 with other datastores? Maybe you have them in some other vSphere version, in vSphere 4 there is no such entity as a Datastore Cluster.

Also I'm afraid you will not see an information about clusters which are part of SAN infrastructure, our MP collects only information about DS clusters which are created in vSphere, not about clusters in a low-level architecture of your SAN.

Hope this helps.
Thanks.
