Timing Question on Backups

Post by vipes27 »

I'm testing Veeam for backuping up our VMs and I have a weird question. I have scheduled a couple of backups and it seems that they start 2 hours later then when I schedule them. The time/date and timezone are set correctly on the Veeam server so I'm not sure what the issue could be. If I look at the details of the successful backups, it shows that it's starting at the right time (10 PM), it takes about 40 minutes for the backup but shows it's completed at 12:40 AM. Is this typical?

It has been reported previously that some time issues may happen while backing up/replicating Domain Controller that resides on ESX(i) host which time isn’t set correctly.

However, I still would recommend contacting our support team and letting them investigate these issues directly, since log attachment, etc. might be necessary for more thoughtful investigation.

Hope this helps.
Thanks.

Can you please tell me where your Veeam backup SQL Server is located? Is it a remote server? Do you also back it up?
