I'm planning to upgrade to VBR 6.5 and just wanted to double-check before kicking it off ... my plan:
(1) download VBR 6.5 (done)
(2) download all the AIR updates for 6.5 (done)
(3) download any patches for 6.5 (done, Patch #1 v6.5.0.128)
(4) check licensing requirements (done, FAQs indicate my 6.0 licences are still valid)
(5) install and cross fingers
My VMware infrastructure is simple: vCenter 5.0 and 3 x ESXi 5.0 hosts
I want to upgrade eventually to 5.1 and believe I need VBR 6.5 before I do that.
Have I missed anything? Should I wait a little longer to see whether a "patch 2" for 6.5 comes out?

Re: Upgrading from VBR 6.0 to 6.5
Detailed description of the upgrade process can be found in the Veeam v6.5 Release Notes (p. 16). So, please, take a look.
Hope this helps.
Thanks.
Yes, it definitely stands to reason to be on the latest product version, since not until 6.5 version was the full vSphere 5.1 support introduced.believe I need VBR 6.5 before I do that.
As to your VMware infrastructure upgrade, be aware that you should upgrade vCenter before the hosts, otherwise, you may encounter similar issues.I want to upgrade eventually to 5.1
Hope this helps.
Thanks.

Re: Upgrading from VBR 6.0 to 6.5
Thanks for the feedback.
I installed the updates this morning and it all seemed to go very smoothly.
* updated Enterprise Manager first; then
* updated VBR itself; then
* updated all the AIR bits-n-pieces (Active Directory, Exchange, SQL and Universal); and finally
* applied VBR Patch #1
Was able to manually run one of my backup jobs afterwards, so all seems well.
Cheers,
Steve.
