Hi all, I've made some test backups with Veeam BR at default mode, virtual appliance mode which is ok.
Because I'd like to test if it is possible to gain some performance increase, I connect shared storage, which is now visible on SAN infrastructure menu.
Now I ran some test backup jobs again which also went fine but no immediate notice of any performance gain.
During the backup I looked for network utilization, cpu, memory etc. but no differnce to be seen according to the previous backup jobs.
So the question is how can you tell when looking at a particular runnning backup job in what mode (SAN/VAPP/LAN) BR is backing up your systems?
Thx in advance

Re: San mode vs virtual appliance mode
This info is available in the job session log (Statistics command on the job's shortcut menu). You can select the particular VM to the left and see the corresponding transport mode tag next to the proxy server name ([san], [hotadd], [nbd]).
