Downgrade of Veeam B&R Licenses

Hi Guys

I got a question:
We got standard and enterprise veeam licenses.
After some time it became evident that we dont need the extra functionality and that its not possible to have two kinds of licenses on one Enterprise Manager.

Now: Support told us its not possible to downgrade the licenses so we would have only standard licenses. I just cant believe this.

So is this really true?
And in case it is, what would be the reason?
And anyway: whats the reason that EM can only have one kind of licenses? i dont see any technical/etc. problems...

Right now we have to run 2 EMs just because of this, which is a little suboptimal, to put it nicely...

I would recommend to contact our sales rep responsible for your region to discuss it, but I believe there should be a way to give you standard license key instead of the enterprise one.

FYI:
I just talked to my colleague who tried to downgrade it.
He said he talked to two sales reps and a support guy and they all avoided to answer his question...

Seems I have to go in a little more aggressive :/...

From a technical point of view I can see why you wouldn't mix ent and standard licences. There is no way of telling wether a backup was taken with a standard or ent licence , so tracking which backups could be used for surebackup or one click FLR would not be possible.

Which features are you not using ?
