VEEAM repository size

Post by alextsm »

Hello, we have VEEAM 6.5 on BM (vmware). For all backups we have 6TB of storage capacity on the external storage system. We will have one backup specification for all backup (VDI). How will be better create one LUN (6TB) or more LUN (3*2TB) for VEEAM storage repository(s)?

Hello Alex,

It does not make any difference from the infrastructure impact - having one lun or multiple as long as they are in one storage system and will be used by one Veeam B&R server. Maybe from the management perspective it is good to separate all the backups into different "locations" - but this is completely up to you.

Cheers.
