No, there's no such built-in functionality. However, I believe this can be done via script with the help of third-party SMS providers.

Yep. If you find a SMS provider with simply manageable API available in your region, you’ll be able to write necessary script responsible for SMS notification and specify it as a post-job activity.

Additionally, have you ever heard about Outlook Mobile Service and their “Mobile Notification” settings, which is responsible for forwarding incoming Outlook items as a text message (SMS)?

You can also set a specific word in VB&R notification options and let Outlook to forward only those emails that have it.

Thanks for sharing, I will give it a try on outlook mobile service.
This is why i love veeam software, fast response & support and version roadmap was fast as well cannot wait to try Veeam v7

Most carrier have email to text gateways that allow you to send an email to an email address that gets converted to a text example 8885556565@txt.att.net, more info can be found here;

Like jleblanc said, I would just use the email to text address. I like using the site: www.emailtextmessages.com
