How to know over which transport backup happened?

Post by spgsit5upport »

In previous version 6.1 the mail report was giving a warning if the backup could not do Direct SAN backup & was failing to Network

In 6.5 I know that VM must have been backed up via Network (as there is NO Direct SAN connection to this volume) but there is no warning or even mention of it

So how do I know if Direct SAN access actually works?

Does the job detail not mention [nbd] after the proxy name for that particular VM ? it'll be shown in the detailed summary on the client , rather than in the mail report.

Yes, the transport mode used for processing the particular VM is always available in the job statistics next to the name of the proxy server, effectively selected by the job. As for the abovementioned warning, this message was switched to the informational one in v6.5.
