Host is low on available memory error

Post by mroetgerink »

Hi,

I receive the alarm "The host is low on available memory" after a restart on two hosts while there is plenty of memory available (more then 10%). I'm using Veeam One 6.5.0.676 for Hyper-v. What can it be?

Kind regards,
Martijn

Hi, Martijn. Just a few questions:

• Do you get this error always during the host restart?
• Do you keep getting this error after restart process is finished?
• What information can be seen on the corresponding memory graph? Are there any spikes that exceed predefined 10% or something similar?

Thanks.

Hi Vladimir,

No, it doesn't always show the message, but when it's there it stays there.
It shows the error after the host is restarted.
The memory graph shows the correct amount of available memory in GB, but the incorrect one about available memory percent. The percentage is 0.00 while it should be above 10%

I hope these answers will help you.

Martijn

Hmm, strange thing, indeed.

I’d propose taking snapshots of both of the graphs (MB, %) and sending them to support team, since more detailed investigation is definitely required.

Hope this helps.
Thanks.
