Veeam B&R Cloud

Post by scott.anderson »

Can any one let me know which of the 15 supported cloud storage providers in B&R Cloud are or can offer Australian base DC's?

Have a data sovereignty question with a couple of customers. They have to be able to host all of their data within Australia.

Probably, this sort of questions would be best answered by storage providers themselves. So, it might be worth asking them directly.

Thanks.

Some providers may have datacenters in Australia.

Of the specifically named providers on the list, Haylix is, as far as I know, an Australian based cloud storage provider that provides specific compliance with AU based sovereignty laws, so they'd probably be a good place to start.

Any Openstack provider can be used and I know that Openstack has some following in Australia as there is an Australian OpenStack User Group, I believe sponsored by Aptira, so I would expect them to offer and Openstack based storage solution in Australia based datacenters as well.

Not that this is not an endorsement of these companies as I have no personal experience with them, but those are two names I regularly see associated with cloud storage in Australia. I'm sure there are many others and perhaps one of our forum members with local experience will chime in.

As an addition, Amazon has an availability zone in Sidney, covering both S3 and Glacier services (not sure about glacier, S3 for sure).

[MERGED] Cloud edition question

Post by scott.anderson »

Is it possible to get an updated list of the supported Cloud storage providers and more importantly their geographic locations (one of our clients has a data sovereignty issue).

For us its specifically the Australian based providers we are interested in, but I'm sure that a complete list would be useful to others.
