Veeam backup & replication console is already running
when am launching the application i got message "Veeam backup & replication console is already running" but i can't see
the application. what should i do ??

Can I ask you to go to the Task Manager, stop the process called Veeam.Backup.Shell.exe and try to start the application again? Thanks.

Vicky, did you recently change Veeam service account that is used to connect to SQL Server? If not and the console is still stuck, please contact our support team, so we could assist you via a remote WebEx session.

[MERGED] "console is already running" with service user
Hi
when login in with the Veeam service user with RDP to the Backup server, the console cannot be started.
the following message appears:
"Veeam backup & replication console is already running"
when using any other user instead of the service user, it's starting fine.
is this the expected normal behaviour?

As mentioned above you need to stop the task in the task manager and restart the application.

there is no task Veeam.Backup.Shell.exe, I even restarted the server (I already found this thread and looked for the task).
I also updated to the newest version yesterday, still the same behaviour.
and as said, it only doesn't work with the service user. every other user is fine.

ok, found the issue!
I opened the RDP session in fullscreen by accident. and down at the task manager there were a few pixels of the console window, which I could drag back to the desktop.
so the console did open, but outside the viewable desktop!

Once VBR is started, the task should be displayed in the task manager. Anyways, glad the issue is resolved now.
