Just a quick question about Veeam Backup.
When you exclude disks there is an option to Remove excluded disks from VM configuration.
I'm assuming that this only removes the disk from the backup version of the VM and doesn't affect the production machine at all?
Im only asking because when I do a sure backup that includes the server with excluded disks I get an error saying it "Cannot open the disk '/vmfs/volumes/51e6c6a6-75504dfc-9ff9-90b11c2ab5ad/NCLFS2/NCLFS2.vmdk' or one of the snapshot disks it depends on." and im assuming it is because of the excluded disk and that ticking the "Remove excluded disks" option will correct it.
Thank in advance
Alex

Re: Remove excluded disks clarification
Hi,Alex. Yep, you’re right in your assumption, the aforesaid option doesn’t affect a production VM. Having this option enabled should guarantee that a given VM won’t try to find excluded disks during the restoration process. Thanks.
