Creating a report for IOPS for several VM's

Post by msidnam »

We are thinking about getting a new SAN and the company is asking us for IOPS. I was hoping that VEEAM ONE would be able to give me that info for specific VM's based on a weeks logs?Is it possible to generate such a report?

Hello Mike,

Yes, you can create a report with custom performance metrics for all or just group of VMs. In order to do that please navigate to Workspace -> New report -> Templates -> Custom reports -> VMware Raw Performance Data or VMware Custom Performance.

Thank you!

Thank you. This worked perfectly.

I haven't used this so i will need to check the manual to find out what the Value(Number) field means. It looks like i average around 60-70 during the day. Just not sure if thats good or bad.

In case of Raw VMware Performance Report , the value is a number of I/O put by a particular VM on a certain datastore in a given time. Thanks.

Depends on the applications installed in this VM and the datastore type (disks) that are hosting this VM, so it might be good and bad :)
