How to - Report all VM replication duration for say 2 months

Post by MichaelNilsen »

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have or can point me in the right direction. I need to get a report of the duration and size of replica jobs for all VM's. Below is some info about my setup and requirement:

running veeam B&R 7

I have around 6 replication jobs, that run to both onsite and offsite.
inside these 6 jobs, some have a single VM some have 10 VM's

I want to get a excel table that lists the VM server name in col A, then in B has the date and time, C the duration of the job, then in D the size, E Could be if it failed or succeeded.
each row will list out the past 2 months (but this should be configurable) of replicas for this particular VM.

for example
Server01 09/10/2013 10:00PM 1:15 10GB success
Server01 09/10/2013 11:00PM 1:01 9.2GB success
Server01 10/10/2013 12:00AM 1:07 9.8GB success

Each VM will be in its own worksheet within the single Excel document.

so multiple tabs down the bottom each called its server name

server01, server02, server03 for example.

Basically I need to start looking and how long each job take and trends.

Thanks for you help :)

Michael.

Hi, Michael. Have you already checked existing VeeamOne report called “Backup History” that might meet your expectations even without need for creating anything manually? Thanks.

That's a really good report, thanks for pointing me in the right direction ;)

I guess the only thing it doesn't do is break each VM out of the actual job (if you have more then one VM within each job)... but its a good start

thanks once again.

But in this case if we change the focus of the report from job to VM entity, the report itself might become overloaded and hardly readable once a number of VMs reach a certain point (say >100).

Anyway, thanks for the heads-up; I’ve already passed your feedback to the responsible person.
