Services stop at the end of backup

Hi!

We got a issue with one server.. at the end of the backup of a oracle-VM (during snapshot commit) a service running on another server(but dependent on a fileshare on the oracle-server) fails. This is a service from Simcorp Dimension 5.3.

Anyone has experience with veeam-backup of this software? I'm sure every snapshot-based backup-software would have a similar issue with this.

Hi Andres,

Are there any timeout settings that can be configured on Simcorp Dimension to make it more tolerable during snapshot commit operation? And yes, you're right any VM-image backup solution relying on VMware snapshot will have this issue. See this existing thread for some tips that might help.
