hello,
i have a hitachi hus110 ,2x esx and a physical veeamserver with internal disks(backup repository).
i want to use direct san.
in hitachi i have the option to present the luns for esx or windows or many other platforms.
how can i present these luns also for windows for veeamserver?
if i create also a zone with veeam and hitachi?it can recognize them?

thanks but i would like to know what should i do in HUS 110.
for example i ll create a host group in 2 ports for esx i ll present the luns to esx and then i will create a host group for windows and i will present the same luns?should i do anything else in HUS except of that in veeamserver to disable the automount?
it will be through FC.

Hi John, basically you publish to the Veeam server the same luns that you are publishing right now to the ESXi servers.
If your storage is able to publish a lun in read only for a host and in read-write for others at the same time, create a new zone for Veeam with only read access, and publish to it all the ESXi luns. Otherwise, Veeam can be placed in the same zone as ESXi servers.

On Veeam there is nothing to do, automount is already disabled by Veeam.
